Local elections were held in Ukraine on Sunday, October 25. This is the first election under the new electoral legislation. Voters chose not only a party, but also a specific candidate from the list of a political force.
In Odessa, according to the results of the exit poll of “Studio Savik Shuster”, incumbent mayor Gennady Trukhanov (34.40%) and former governor of the Odessa region Nikolai Skorik (17.93%), representing the HLS, they will leave.
“Servant of the people” Oleg Filimonov gets 13.75% of the vote and is in third place. Fatal separation from Skorik.
At city hall, the alignment is as follows: the mayor’s and HLP’s “deeds of trust” are much the same. The “Servant of the People” did not reach 16%.
As a reminder, a candidate who gets 50% + 1 vote is considered mayor-elect. If no one obtains the majority of votes, a second round will be announced, in which the two candidates with the most votes will come out.
Odessans received two ballots in hand. They elected the mayor and councilors.
“Strana” followed the course of today’s voting.
In total, 23 people fought for the presidency of the mayor of Odessa. Initially, there were more applicants, but some were eliminated.
