The former owner of Delta Bank, Nikolai Lagun, is suspected of tax evasion worth more than 33 million UAH. Now the question of choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
This was reported by the press service of the Attorney General’s Office.
As noted by law enforcement officials, in February 2015, the account of the former owner of Delta Bank received more than 153 million UAH as payment for the purchase of the bank’s registered shares.
“Having received income, he was forced to pay personal income tax and military service on this amount from January to May 2016. However, he eluded payment, resulting in non-receipt of funds in the budget on an especially large scale – more than 33 million UAH. “, reported the UCP.
You were informed of the suspicion in Part 3 of art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
We will recall, in December 2019, the court arrested Nikolai Lagun’s assets for almost 700 million hryvnia.
It was also reported that, as of November 2019, Lagun was among the top 5 largest debtors of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Please note that Delta Bank was declared insolvent in 2015, the bank is now being liquidated, and last year it was extended until October 4, 2020.
