The European Union called on the Ukrainian authorities to immediately restore the anti-corruption structure in Ukraine after the decision of the Constitutional Court. Fighting corruption is a prerequisite for visa-free travel and macro-financial assistance.

“The KSU decision has far-reaching consequences for the entire anti-corruption infrastructure in Ukraine, created after the Dignity Revolution in 2014. The decision also casts doubt on a number of international obligations that Ukraine has assumed in relation to its partners. international, including the EU, “he stressed.
Stano added that the European Union understands the complexity of the situation in Ukraine and appreciates the urgency with which the president and the government are trying to resolve it.
“We call on the Ukrainian authorities to quickly restore the legislation on electronic asset declaration and the corresponding tasks of the NAPK, as well as stabilize the legal status of NABU. We call on the president, the government and the Verkhovna Rada to work together for a comprehensive and sustainable solution. The EU stands ready to support our Ukrainian partners in this matter. ” – added the representative of the EU.
As a reminder, last week the KSU abolished criminal liability for inaccurate statements and blocked the work of the NAPK and the course of more than 100 criminal proceedings.
After that, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that due to the KSU’s decision, the IMF mission will not come to Ukraine, which threatens to receive new financial aid.
Today, the parliamentary commission supported the bill on the restoration of the provisions of the law on the prevention of corruption, canceled by the CCU, which was proposed by the president of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov.
