Ukraine is more than anyone interested in returning to the silent regime in Donbass, emphasized the OP chief.
During an online meeting of advisers to the leaders of the four Normandy states, the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak proposed to convene a meeting of the TCG group on security issues on March 19 due to the aggravation in Donbass. This was announced on Thursday, March 18, by the OP’s press service.
It is noted that at the beginning of the negotiations with the participation of Germany and France, Yermak proposed to adopt at the “Normandy” level a joint declaration on the return to the total ceasefire in Donbas, which was established on July 27, 2020.
“Ukraine is more than anyone interested in returning to the regime of silence, because due to its violation, it is the Ukrainian military and civilians who die on Ukrainian soil,” the press service quotes the OP chief.
In addition, Yermak proposed to urgently convene a meeting of the TCG in order to obtain concrete confirmation of the willingness of the parties to guarantee a ceasefire in Donbas.
Earlier, head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a briefing with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, said that in the near future there should be an understanding of when the leaders of the Normandy Four will meet.
