Epifanio spoke about the work of the quarantined church
There will be no strict restrictions on the celebration of the Nativity of Christ in the churches of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
Churches will not be closed on public holidays, but churches, in turn, must adhere to quarantine restrictions, said the Primate of the OCU, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Epiphanius in an interview with Radio Liberty.
According to the metropolitan, the Ukrainian authorities are listening to the opinion of the members of the Council of Churches and Religious Organizations of Ukraine on the restrictions required during the coronavirus infection epidemic.
At the same time, Epifanio assured that there would be no strict restrictions on the churches on Christmas Day.
“The churches will not be closed, but neither should the churches be abused, they must adhere to the quarantine restrictions imposed by the Ukrainian government, address this in a reasonable, careful and responsible manner. If we are really responsible, we will see that gradually the disease subsides. time will be spent without severe restrictions. This is Christmas “, – said Epifanio.
