Energoatom headquarters are being searched

Already now we can talk about causing damage to the state through the sale of electricity at low prices, said Artem Sytnik.

Employees of the National Anti-Corruption Office are conducting searches at Energoatom’s headquarters. This was stated by NABU director Artem Sytnik, responding to a question from journalists at a press conference on Wednesday, February 10.

“The information that searches are being carried out is true. They are sanctioned by the Anti-Corruption Court. This case concerns the sale of electricity,” Sytnik said.

According to him, production began based on the analysis of the situation “with a discriminatory factor in the sale of electrical energy.”

“It (electricity – ed.) Can only be purchased by individual consumers. This significantly affects the formation of electricity prices,” said the director of NABU.

According to the investigation, it is already possible to speak of damage to the State by selling electricity at reduced prices.

NABU launched an investigation into this case after publications in the media and appeals to the SAP, emphasized Sytnik.

Recall that Ukraine has a record electricity consumption in six years. Due to the cold weather, the morning and evening peaks in electricity consumption have practically become a long peak.
