Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba expressed his condolences to the victims in Croatia in connection with the powerful earthquake that occurred today.
Kuleba announced this in his Twitter.
“I deeply sympathize with our Croatian friends for a powerful 6.3-point earthquake with an epicenter near the city of Petrino, which caused significant destruction and damage. My condolences to the victims. At this tragic moment, Ukraine, together with our friend Croatia, “said the minister.
Earthquake in Croatia: what is known
On December 29, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck Croatia with its epicenter in the city of Petrino, located 50 km from Zagreb.
The death of a 12-year-old girl was reported.
At the same time, the building of the Ukrainian embassy in Zagreb suffered minor damage as a result of the earthquake, but Ukrainian diplomats were not injured.
On December 28, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake was also recorded in the same area.
