The number of prize money Ukrainian clubs have won during the autumn part of the 2020/21 Euro season is known.
Dynamo and Shakhtar left the Champions League, will continue to play in the Europa League and still have a chance to replenish their “treasure”, while Zarya, Kolos and Desna already know their prize money.
Based on the income distribution scheme in the European Cup tournaments, it can be calculated that Shakhtar already earned about 43 million euros: the Ukrainian champions received 14.7 million for participating in the group stage of the Champions League, 20.29 million for a place in the UEFA rankings over 10 years, 7, 88 million for performances in the tournament and reaching the 1/16 finals of the Europa League, 0.2 million – a stake in the marketing group.
The Dynamo have approximately 35 million euros in their account: 14.7 for participation in the group stage, 16 million for rating, 4 million for appearances and reaching the 1/16 finals of the Europa League, and 0.2 million for payments from the marketing pool.
Zorya won 4.69 million euros in the Europa League, Kolos – 540 thousand, Desna – 280 thousand.
It should be noted that part of these amounts will be returned to UEFA by the clubs under regulations to overcome the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
