Kiev press service “Dynamo” explained that they independently took three of their representatives in the Ukrainian team from Germany, without waiting for the decision of the Ukrainian Football Association. Before the League of Nations game, they were found to have COVID-19.

Kyiv Dynamo football club independently organized the return from Germany of its coronavirus-infected representatives in the Ukrainian national team. RBC-Ukraine reported this on November 15 with reference to the club’s press service.

We are talking about footballers Viktor Tsygankov, Sergei Sidorchuk and the director of the national team Vadim Komardin.

In “Dynamo” they said that they did not wait for the decision of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) to return the club’s representatives to Kiev, so they independently organized their return. According to the club’s president, Igor Surkis, the UAF intended to send sick athletes by bus.

On the flight to Kiev, the direction of the Dynamo coincided with one of the foreign airlines infected by the coronavirus, accompanied by a doctor.

Arsen Avakov, Ukraine’s interior minister, was also ready to provide a rescue plane for the delivery of the players.

The press service of the Kiev club stressed that Tsygankov, Sidorchuk and Komardin “are in flight and will soon be home.”

On November 14, the UAF announced that it had arranged a charter flight for November 15 for the return of Sidorchuk, Tsygankov, Komardin and English West Hem footballer Andrei Yarmolenko.

COVID-19 was confirmed in all four by testing on November 13. By contagion, he did not participate in the League of Nations match, which ended on November 14 with the defeat of the Ukrainian team 1: 3 against the German team.

In “Dynamo” they said that Yarmolenko was taken from Germany on a charter flight to England by representatives of “West Hem”.
