On the night of Monday, March 15, in the Troeshchyna area of Kiev, a drunk Toyota driver at high speed flew towards a Skoda car, as a result of which two people died at the scene of an accident.
The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Roman Shukhevych Avenue and Perov Boulevard. This is reported by the Telegram channel “Vartovi Espreso”. (to see photos and videos, scroll through the news to the end).
According to eyewitnesses, a Skoda car approached a traffic light, on which a prohibition sign was lit, while a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV crashed into the rear of the car. The blow was so strong that the car was crushed.
A man and a woman who were in Skoda received injuries incompatible with life. Rescuers removed their bodies from the wrecked car using a special tool.
The driver of the SUV was tested to determine the state of alcohol intoxication, the Drager test showed an excess of the permissible norm by more than ten times: 2.05 ppm.
“There was information that the Toyota driver is an active law enforcement officer. Now he is being searched,” said the Kiev Operational Telegram channel.
The circumstances of the terrible accident are being investigated by the task force and investigator.
