The People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic commented on the New Year’s greeting, in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy wanted him to speak from the street in Donetsk or from the beach in the Crimea Yalta. The head of Ukraine also noted that the residents of Crimea and Donbass want to meet with Ukraine.
“The New Year’s wishes to say the words about achieving peace in the streets of the DPR capital are quite realistic,” the People’s Militia said in a statement. However, the condition is indicated: Zelensky must comply with the Minsk agreements.
The statement also suggested that by mentioning Yalta, Zelensky was referring to a town near Mariupol and not a city in the Crimea. After all, there is no sand in Yalta, the beach is pebble.
Earlier, Senator Alexei Pushkov called Zelensky’s New Year’s speech “a model of cynicism.” He stressed that the president of Ukraine exists in a certain parallel reality. “Zelenskiy is doing what he can: turning politics into poor theater performance. No more is given, “Pushkov added.
