The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group on the resolution of the situation in Donbass, Leonid Kravchuk, intends to propose to Russia to postpone the road maps and focus on the implementation of the decisions already agreed within the Normandy format . If the Russian side refuses, it proposes moving to more decisive pressure measures to advance the negotiations.
This is stated in the RBK-Ukraine material – “Normandy Impasse. Preventing the end of the war in Donbas”.
“There must be pressure on Russia, it does not understand anything else, it has never considered the process of political and diplomatic negotiation possible,” Kravchuk said.
One of the lobbying steps is the imposition of new sanctions on Russia, in the form of disconnection from the SWIFT international payment system.
“It must be said officially: we have done everything, exhausted all possibilities and we see a dead end. But this does not mean that we will stop the Minsk format tomorrow. We will continue working on it, we will make all the effort, but when we see that we have already gone in the last steps, there will be “plan B”, – added Kravchuk.
Let us remind you that Leonid Kravchuk previously said that in the absence of progress in the negotiations, the TCG would propose further steps, but would not abandon the Minsk agreements.
Also, earlier, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine that he did not know when the authorities might switch to plan “B” for Donbass. In your opinion, it will depend on the success of the current track.
