In the match of matchday 16 of the Ukrainian Premier League, the visiting Dnipro-1 achieved a productive draw with Mariupol with a score of 2: 2.
Igor Jovichevich’s charges opened the scoring already in the 13th minute of the game, when Alexander Pikhalyonok made a successful pass to the penalty area from the set, where Douglas went ahead of the curve and nailed the ball into the goal with his head. However, the hosts were not going to give up and in the 35th minute Kirill Melichenko was in the right place at the right time, having played successfully on the final plays after the ball hit the post.
Midway through the second half, Artem Dovbik converted a penalty and put the Dnipro team ahead again, but the Azov team had the last word. In the 87th minute, Andrei Kulakov scored exactly after a Dmitry Mishnev pass from a corner.
Thus, Mariupol escaped from the third consecutive defeat and, after having gained 17 points, it is placed in the ninth place of the UPL classification. Dnepr-1 has 15 points and a 10th line.
