The format of training in educational institutions will depend on the epidemic situation in the settlements. Schools in the “red zone” quarantine after the holidays will remain in distance education.

This was stated by the Acting Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Serhiy Shkarlet, on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the ministry seeks to provide a comprehensive education to children, but now the situation is difficult and requires responsibility.

“Children must study full time and receive a quality education. Depending on the epidemic color of the region, some will start education full time, some, if it is a ‘red zone’, will remain remotely. Unfortunately,” he emphasized the acting minister.

Shkarlet added that the ministry will try to provide full-time education for students in grades 1-4 after the holidays, but students in grades 5-11 will study in mixed formats or at a distance, depending on the situation of the epidemic.

“We hope for a better scenario, but we continue to prepare for various challenges,” he added.

We will remember, on the eve that the Ministry of Education urged schools to go on a two-week vacation from October 15 due to the difficult situation with the coronavirus in Ukraine.

In addition, the Ministry of Education recently updated the requirements for distance education in Ukraine.
