Dynamo Kiev struggles to enter the Champions League and is forced to play two games a week. On Wednesday, the capital club was able to beat “Gent” and representatives of the Kiev fans have already begun to speculate with which costumes they will attend the group stage draw. However, European cups are European cups, but we must not forget about the Premier League. On Saturday, “Dynamo” was waiting for “Minai”, who kindly agreed to play in Kiev to facilitate the opponent’s schedule.
We predicted even before the match that Mircea Lucescu would apply the rotation, but the Romanian mentor still managed to surprise. The opening appearance of Mikell Duelunn is a decision that was not read beforehand. It seemed that the Dane fell from grace, but ended up in the squad. Vasily Kobin, in turn, decided not to abandon the scheme with three centers and for the first time released Pavlish from the first minutes. The decision, as we learned later, proved fatal.
The start of the match is comparable to a duel between two boxers. In one corner was an ambitious challenger. He tried to show himself, somewhere he acted rude, somewhere he tried to attack. “Dynamo” also acted like an experienced fighter, waiting for the opponent’s mistake. They understood that sooner or later it would happen. It happened early. Minai’s defense fell asleep during the broadcast to Supryaga, who jumped up to meet Popovich. Pavlish, who had a yellow card, prevented the forward from breaking through. The referee chose the most severe punishment: a penalty and a direct red.
But even an experienced fighter can fail. And so it was with Verbic, who, frankly, is just getting into shape. Approaching the point, he shot without much confidence and allowed Popovich to confront his shot. The doorman kept the door dry, but this only postponed the problem and did not prevent it.
What could “Minai” expect? Is it a miracle of September, that would help the Transcarpathians find something in the attack? Kobin sacrificed Kozhanov, freeing another central defender, but Matkobozhik could not help in any way: the Kievists scored their first goal very simply and with gusto. Supryaga, having received a pass in the penalty area, threw his heel on Andrievsky, and Alexander, having passed two mannequins rivals, hit the door Popovich – 1: 0. Also. Before the break, the capital club doubled the advantage, eliminating all questions about the winner in parallel. Verbic stormed into the penalty area from the left and struck the far corner – the post! At the end, the first was Tsygankov, who sent the round to the net without problems. Forced to declare a medical fact, the intrigue in the party died after 40 minutes. Although, frankly, many things remained clear even after the elimination of Pavlis. The Transcarpathians didn’t last long today.

Immediately after the break, Lucescu threw three new players into battle: Shaparenko, Sidorchuk and Sol. Duelunn sat down on the bench and, judging from today’s game, there is no telling when he will get the next chance. If we take the second half as a whole, the “Dynamo” did not seek to score more than two. Perhaps they were saving energy against Ghent. Maybe they didn’t want to take another risk, even against an opponent who had one less player. “Minaj” tried to launch into the attacks, but the constant losses and rejections during the broadcasts seriously hampered the Kobin players. Shinder ran ahead alone, waiting for a pass from his teammates. From behind, the team was no better. Shaparenko did what he wanted, and in one of the moments he walked calmly through the center and threw the perfect pass to Verbic. Benjamin did not need to spoil himself, with what he faced – 3: 0. The winger corrected for a missed penalty.
Even without forcing events too much, the Kievists scored the fourth. Although purely formal, Minai’s defender did: Matic tried to interrupt Mikolenko’s center, but precisely cut the ball at his own goal. Frankly speaking, both teams played further. Tsitaishvili, who nonetheless received playing time, was expected to add color to the game with his eagerness and enthusiasm, but disappeared onto the field.
Summing up what we saw, let’s say that today Mircea Lucescu achieved victory with little blood. He gave the subsidiary a chance again, who knew how to decide the fate of the match in the first half. Of course, if it weren’t for a quick elimination, “Dynamo” would have had more problems, but it can hardly be said that “Minaj” today could take points away from the favorite. Even in equal compositions. The capital club is gaining the next three points and is charged with positive before the return match with “Gent”. It is unlikely that everything is that simple.
