Representatives of “DPR” and “LPR” participating in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) are no longer citizens of Ukraine. However, the dialogue with Donbass should not be led by Ukrainians with Russians, but by Ukrainians with Ukrainians.
This opinion was expressed in the program “Results with Vadim Kolodiychuk” on Obozrevatel TV, the first president of Ukraine, head of the Ukrainian delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group Leonid Kravchuk.
“If we start negotiations now, it will not be the Ukrainians with the Ukrainians, but the Ukrainians with the Russians. These people, who are communicating with me today in the TCG in videoconference format, and Mr. Deinogo are already citizens of Russia, ”he stressed.
According to Kravchuk, the dialogue must take place between strata of the population that have nothing to do with the “authorities” of the “republics”. The Ukrainian side may be represented by internally displaced people from Donbass.
“On the territory of Ukraine there are 1 million 600 thousand immigrants from those regions. They create negotiating groups here. And these groups of people, not as the other side, but as the same side, which is temporarily forced to leave the other side. , address them, lead a conversation and put some interesting common topic on the agenda and start discussing it, “he explained.
In this context, Kravchuk reported that members of the Ukrainian TCG group among the internally displaced are already working on the organization of the next meeting the public of the controlled and uncontrolled territories of Ukraine.
At the same time, the first president did not announce specific dates for such a dialogue. “Let’s not talk about calendar dates. This is a very difficult issue. This issue is of a political-military nature,” he stressed.
