The law on the restoration of the work of the NAPK was approved
Parliament supported the resumption of the full work of the National Anti-Corruption Agency, taking into account the withdrawal of the Venice Commission.
In a parliamentary session on Tuesday, December 15, a bill on resuming the full work of the National Anti-Corruption Agency was approved. 300 deputies voted.
The document stipulates that all statements are verified by the NACP, but at the same time a complaint mechanism has been introduced for a judge if he feels that he is being pressured into the statement verification process.
The bill took into account the conclusions of the Venice Commission on the fact that if the Constitutional Court did not substantiate its decision on the unconstitutionality of the rules on the powers of the NAPC, then they can be returned.
In addition, an article is added to the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses with the peculiarities of submitting protocols on administrative offenses to judges.
The law provides 24-hour open access to the Unified State Registry of Declarations of Persons Authorized to Perform the Functions of the State or Local Autonomous Government.
It also introduces legal regulation of the specificities for the resolution of conflicts of interest, details the control procedure, comprehensive verification of returns, monitoring of the lifestyle of the reporting subjects; as well as the procedure for the implementation of some additional financial control measures.
We will recall, last week, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill on the renewal of liability for inaccurate declaration. It was presented to the President for his signature.
