In Argentina, a case was opened against Diego Maradona’s personal doctor on suspicion of homicide. This is reported by Todo Noticias.

As noted, Maradona’s daughters -Giannina, Dalma and Yana- questioned the professionalism of the performance of doctor Leopoldo Luque and filed a complaint with the police. They asked to know the details of the treatment and drugs that the patient received in the last weeks of life.
Police searched the home and the doctor’s office. Mobile phones, computers and documentation of Maradona’s medical history and information related to his treatment were seized to determine if there was any medical malpractice.
According to the judge, it turned out that not all the prescriptions recommended by Maradona were met after discharge from hospital.
One of the seized documents says that the footballer was ordered to be hospitalized at his home, a full-time nurse specializing in substance use problems.
The specialists also asked that Maradona be observed by a neurologist, and that he always have the opportunity for medical investigations and a prepared ambulance.
