The Secretary of the City Council, Igor Terekhov, the deputy mayors Alexander Novak and Tatyana Taukesheva, the former head of the Kharkov Regional Council, Sergei Chernov and the deputy Oleg Karatumanov, also came to say goodbye to Gennady Kernes. Additionally, several dozen Kharkiv citizens gathered near the church, who are watching the broadcast of the funeral service on the big screen. More than 2.5 thousand people watched the funeral ceremony on YouTube.

- The funeral will take place at 07:00 in the Cathedral of the Holy Annunciation.
- The farewell will be organized in the lobby of the Kharkov Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet from 09:00 to 13:00.
