The council referred to information from the Ukrainian State Water Resources Agency that the rivers have been shallow for the past five years, while “there is a possibility of a water shortage in the basins of some rivers that they have significant anthropogenic pressure. “
Danilov explained that “the probability of low water demand will require optimization of the use of water resources and economic consumption of water.”
In April, it was learned that the water level in Ukraine’s rivers fell to a minimum for 100 years due to lack of snow in winter and rain in spring.
