UFC President Dan White spoke about the fight between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gage at UFC 249.
Gage won an early victory in the fifth round and became the interim lightweight champion.
“The fight was really cool. I don’t want to minimize Gage’s merits because he showed a great fight, but it seemed to me that Tony performed poorly today. Tony was slow. Apparently two weight lifters for a month affected him, but I’m not sure if this was the case or not.
