How much you have to pay

Under the new rules, there is no need to pay tax and VAT, only excise duty. This is how it will be calculated:

The base rate depends on the age of the car. If you are under 9 years old, you do not need to pay it. So the rates change like this:

  • car under 9 years – 0 euros;

  • car for 10 years – 25 euros;

  • car 11 years – 50 euros;

  • 12-year-old car – 75 euros;

  • car 13 years – 100 euros;

  • car 14 years – 125 euros;

  • car from 15 years – 150 euros.

The motor factor depends on its volume. To calculate it, you must multiply the volume by the rate given below:

  • rate for an engine up to 2000 cub. cm – 0.25 EUR

  • rate for an engine up to 3000 cubic meters cm – 0.2 euros

  • rate for an engine up to 4000 cub. cm – 0.25 EUR

  • rate for an engine up to 5000 cub. cm – 0.35 EUR

  • fee for the engine of 5001 cubic meters cm – 0.5 euros

The diesel supplement is 100 euros. For example, let’s calculate the excise duty amount for customs clearance of an 8 and 14 year old car with a 2000cc gasoline engine. see the old and new rules.

So according to the new rules:

According to the old rules:

Euroblackers have achieved special conditions

In Ukraine, they already adopted special rules for “Eurobies”, then they were offered customs clearance of cars with a reduced excise duty also with a 50% discount. However, not everyone did. According to various estimates, up to 500 thousand cars remain in Ukraine with “numbers in euros”. According to the current rules, the police can fine them 170 thousand UAH.

Olga Nikolaenko, a customs lawyer, told OBOZREVATEL: The issue of euro bills has long since become a political issue. However, creating unequal conditions between those who imported cars according to the rules and paid all taxes and fees, and those who delayed this process: fiscal inequality.

In this case, the question arises: if to not pay it is enough to join, go under the walls of the parliament and organize a series of rallies, why then pay? The author of the bill, Alexander Kovalev, commented on his decision as follows:

“I was looking for a compromise solution. We offer to make customs clearance easier and cheaper.”

However, customs clearance will become easier and cheaper only for those who violated the law: they imported until the end of last year and did not go through customs a car that is not older than 1999. In addition to VAT and excise duties, a Violators will also be charged a “voluntary” fine of 8.5 thousand UAH. By the way, a few years ago this practice was already underway: then the money collected was used to increase pensions.

The euro-bill problem was solved a few years ago: prices were lowered and severe penalties were introduced. However, the “servants of the people” are sure that these norms did not help. “The adoption of the aforementioned regulatory legal acts did not contribute to the solution of problematic issues related to the implementation of the customs clearance of vehicles, as evidenced by the important public response generated by this issue,” says the explanatory note.

Nominal vote:

Time will tell what the new decision will lead to, and whether it turns out that the Euroblyhers will again not want to pay for customs clearance and will demand even more loyal rules.
