Cristiano Ronaldo named Player of the Century by the Globe Soccer Awards

Juventus and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo became the winner of the nomination for “Best Player of the Century” according to the Globe Soccer Awards. The ceremony took place in the United Arab Emirates.

Among the Portuguese rivals were Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Ronaldinho (ex-Barcelona and Milan player).

Let’s remember that Ronaldo won the European Championship and the Nations League together with his national team. At club level, they have won the Champions League five times, England three times and Spain and Italy two. Cristiano also won the Ballon d’Or on five occasions.

Note that Bayern forward Robert Lewandowski was named the best player of 2020.
