In Simferopol, occupied by Russia, from Monday, March 15, new underground wells will be put into operation, which “will allow the city not to depend on the weather” on the issue of water supply.
Such a statement on Saturday March 13 was made by the Russian “chief” of Crimea Sergei Aksenov, reports “Crimea.Realii”. The occupier spoke after a meeting with Russia’s Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov.
“On Monday, when new wells are put into operation, 90-92 thousand [кубометров воды] per day we will receive from underground sources. This will allow us, in this case, to bring Simferopol to a water supply system independent of weather conditions, “said Aksenov.
At the same time, he believes that the problem of the peninsula can definitely be solved with another project: the desalination of seawater.
“At the same time, I am sure that only desalination will give a guaranteed result,” said the “boss” of occupied Crimea.
It did not specify from what specific sources the water will be supplied to Simferopol.
Let us remind you that representatives of the Crimean occupation “authorities” are going to sue Ukraine to compensate for the damage allegedly caused by the water blockade.
