On the eve of the COVID vaccine in Germany, scammers escalated. They are trying to extort money from gullible citizens to get a free vaccine.

In particular, the Bonn police report cases of telephone fraud. Following such a suspicious call, a 64-year-old woman contacted the police. According to her, she received a call from a man who introduced himself as an employee of a pharmaceutical company and offered to buy the first package of the vaccine for 6,000 euros.

It is also reported that when the fraudster arrived for the money, he was detained by the police. The criminal was a 51-year-old German citizen. He tried to convince the police that he was preparing to ship the vaccine.

The German police warn that this is not the first case of fraud, and urges citizens not to be fooled, as the vaccine will be free.

Recall, since Germany is a member of the European Union, vaccination against COVID will start there tomorrow, December 27.

It was also reported that Ukraine is discussing the purchase of a COVID-19 vaccine with the United States, Britain and Germany.
