Additional hospitals open for coronavirus in some cities

Now there are almost 16 thousand coronavirus patients in hospitals, more than 800 people were hospitalized per day.

In Ukraine, the occupancy rate of hospitals treating coronavirus patients is growing rapidly, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said on Friday, October 2.

According to him, 801 coronavirus patients were hospitalized in Ukraine per day.

“If you look at how many people are being treated now in the hospitals of our hospitals, it is already 15,797 people. The number of people who are in the hospitals and have moderate or severe disease is growing very rapidly,” Stepanov said.

According to him, the Ministry of Health is constantly introducing new hospitals to treat coronavirus patients.

“Any system has a limit. We can introduce new beds, supply oxygen as much as we want, but cheesy, we may not have enough medical workers to provide assistance and rescue,” he said.

During the last day, 4,633 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Ukraine, of which 229 children and 271 doctors fell ill. During the entire duration of the pandemic in Ukraine, 14,199 children were sickened, as well as 15,809 medical workers.

The WHO predicts that the daily incidence of coronavirus in Ukraine will double in the coming months, ranging from 7,000 to 9,000 cases per day.
