COVID-19 in Ukraine: red quarantine zones remain

Nobody canceled the red zones, where the restrictions will be great, – Nemchinov

For the Ministry of Health, the main thing is “the physical breaking of the chain of morbidity”. Although restrictions on orange zones are in effect throughout Ukraine, there will be red quarantine zones.

The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers, Oleg Nemchinov, said that despite the fact that an orange quarantine regime has been introduced in Ukraine, there will still be red zones in the country. There, quarantine restrictions will be great, Nemchinov emphasized in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

“No one has canceled the red zones, where the restrictions will be great. The motivation of the Ministry of Health was to physically break the chain of morbidity,” said the minister.

According to him, the week before last there were several administrative-territorial units in the Kherson region, which were formally in the yellow zone.

Please note that strict quarantine restrictions are being introduced in the red zone: all educational institutions, shopping and entertainment centers, cafes, restaurants are closed and public transport may be closed.

As it became known, the quarantine will not be canceled before the vaccination. Various restrictions will be introduced until Ukraine is vaccinated against the coronavirus.

We will also add that the Cabinet has responded to the mayors’ refusal to quarantine.
