The US newspaper New York Post announced that it had accessed the correspondence between the son of US presidential candidate Joe Biden Hunter and an employee of the Ukrainian company Burisma, Vadim Pozharsky. In one of the letters, Pozharsky thanks Hunter Biden for meeting with the then vice president of the United States.
This is stated in an article in the New York Post.
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to Washington and giving me the opportunity to meet with your father. It was an honor and a pleasure for me,” the letter says.
The publication writes that the meeting between Joe Biden and Pozharsky took place in 2015 thanks to Hunter Biden and recalls that the former vice president previously said that he “never spoke to his son about matters in Burisma.”
In a May 2014 letter, Pozharsky asks Hunter Biden if there is an opportunity to “harness his political influence.”
According to the publication, the correspondence materials were found on a laptop, which was left at a repair shop in Delaware in April 2019. The owner of the device is unknown, but there are many compromising files about Hunter Biden on the computer. This data eventually reached Republicans, who, in turn, relayed it to journalists.
The NYP notes that the meeting took place less than a year before then-US Vice President Biden used his influence to secure the removal of Viktor Shokin from his post as Ukraine’s attorney general.
We will recall, Republican Party Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley released the results of the Senate investigation into Hunter Biden’s “conflict of interest.”
In May, US senators from the United States requested documents from the State Department regarding the removal of Ukraine’s attorney general, Viktor Shokin. Joe Biden’s opponents claim that he pressured the Ukrainian authorities, demanding Shokin’s dismissal, as the Attorney General’s Office under his command was investigating the Burisma case, in which his son was involved.
According to The Hill, the investigation found that Burisma transferred large sums of money to Biden’s company every month. However, the investigation was not completed.
In the fall of 2019, a political scandal erupted surrounding a conversation between Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. So Trump wanted his Ukrainian counterpart to launch an investigation into Biden and his son.
An investigation must be conducted into the role that Biden played in the firing of Ukraine’s attorney general, Viktor Shokin, who investigated Burisma when Hunter Biden was working there.
