Amazon, an American e-commerce company, said it will extend its remote hours for some of its employees until October 2. RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to Reuters.

The decision was reportedly made due to a control of the company’s warehouses, where security breaches were possibly revealed during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Employees who play a role that can effectively perform at home can do so until at least October 2,” the Amazon spokesperson said in an email statement on Friday, May 1.

It is also noted that New York Attorney General Letizia James said last week that Amazon may have violated security measures and work methods in the wake of the outbreak.

Remember, it was previously reported that Amazon will build a lab to test on COVID-19.

RBC-Ukraine also wrote that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos lost $ 8 billion due to the coronavirus, more than 7% of his own capital, as Amazon shares fell nearly 8%.
