The United States government has agreed to supply an additional 100 million doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine. They are due to be handed over to the US authorities at the end of July.

Under the agreement, Pfizer must deliver at least 70 million doses of this batch by June 30, 2021 and the remainder no later than July 31. The deal will cost the United States government $ 2 billion.
The United States initially agreed to supply 100 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine, also worth $ 2 billion. Doses under this arrangement are already being distributed and injected to patients in the States.
We recall, on December 14 in the United States, mass vaccination against the coronavirus began after the approval of the drug by Pfizer and BioNTech. The first to be vaccinated against the coronavirus was a nurse from New York.
Late last week, the United States approved another coronavirus vaccine. The second approved vaccine is Moderna. Its use began on December 21.
