In the United States, six test participants died during a test of Pfizer’s German-American coronavirus vaccine. Two of the dead were injected with the real drug and the rest were given a placebo.
This is stated in the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) report.
All the test participants who died had health problems and chronic diseases. Furthermore, half of them were over 55 years old.
One of those vaccinated was reported to have atherosclerosis and obesity. He died three days after the first dose of the vaccine. Another volunteer suffered cardiac arrest 60 days after the administration of the second part of the vaccine. He died three days later.
Two patients in the placebo group died of heart attack and stroke, the cause of two more deaths is being investigated.
Recall that on December 8, the FDA confirmed the effectiveness of 95% of the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccines after two doses. In this case, the effectiveness of the vaccine after the first dose is approximately 82%.
Additionally, the UK approved the Pfizer and BioNTech coronavirus vaccine on December 2 for widespread use. Britain is the first country to approve the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
At the same time, on December 8, vaccination against the coronavirus with Pfizer vaccines began in Great Britain.
