As of December 6, 11,590 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed in Ukraine. In particular, 627 children and 493 health workers fell ill.

First mobile hospital for COVID-19 patients

In mid-December, the first mobile hospital will open in Nikolaev, where there will be 60 beds for COVID-19 patients. This was announced by the Chief Sanitary Physician, Vice Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko.

“In Nikolaev, on December 19, the first 60-bed mobile hospital will open, it will be made of modular structures,” said Viktor Lyashko.

According to him, funds have already been allocated for the deployment of mobile hospitals, the Ministry of Health has determined a table of equipment for such a hospital and the criteria for a medical facility. Although the question of the location of said hospital is at the discretion of the local authorities.

Doctors explained that diabetes mellitus is one of the dangerous chronic diseases that are aggravated during coronavirus disease and even it can be fatal.
