In Kazakhstan, the state of emergency introduced due to the coronavirus infection epidemic will be recognized as force majeure. RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to Radio Liberty.
The country’s president, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, said this will happen if the entrepreneurs appeal to the court.
“To avoid pressure from unscrupulous creditors, I order you to suspend the institution of bankruptcy proceedings against legal entities and individual entrepreneurs until October 1 of this year,” Tokayev said.
Recall that the state of emergency in Kazakhstan due to the coronavirus was introduced on March 16. First, the state of emergency was supposed to end on April 15. During this period, the country introduced quarantine, strengthened the protection of public order, and especially important state and strategic facilities. Also, shopping malls, cinemas, exhibitions are temporarily closed and public events are prohibited.
On May 11, the NA regime ended, but the quarantine regime remains in the territory of the country, the authorities promise to gradually lift the restriction if the incidence rate of COVID-19 does not reach more than 7% during the week.
