391 people died of coronavirus complications
Coronavirus continues to spread in Ukrainewithout braking. According to the Ministry of Health, the situation with COVID-19 in the country is on a “plateau”, between 400 and 600 new infections are registered daily for a month.
During the last day, 522 new cases of COVID-19 infection appeared. As of May 11, the official number of cases is 15,232,391 people died from complications caused by the coronavirus. Statistics by regions on May 11
Chernivtsi Region – 2268 infected. According to the RSA, during the last day, 89 Bukovinians became ill with COVID-19, of which 29 cases were registered in Chernivtsi. There is also information on 18 recovered. On March 3, the first confirmation of COVID-19 was received in the region.
Kiev – 1805 infected. According to the mayor’s office, in Kiev in the last 24 hours, coronavirus was diagnosed in 34 residents, two of whom are doctors. Sick of 23 women from 22 to 79 years old and 11 men from 22 to 74 years old. Three deaths are also reported. The highest number of infected is detected in the Darnitsky and Desniansky districts of the capital. The first case of COVID-19 in Kiev was registered on March 16.
Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1116 infected. According to the mayor, the 58-year-old chief physician at the Ivano-Frankivsk ambulance station, who had been previously diagnosed with COVID-19, died. On May 4, he was hospitalized in serious condition. The first COVID-19 infection in the region was registered on March 19.
Ternopil region – 999 infected. According to the regional headquarters for emergency response, today in the Ternopil region 999 people with coronaviruses have been identified, of whom 18 have died. During the last day, 11 people were hospitalized in the region, including three children and a medical worker, 28 people were discharged, of which 11 were medical workers. The first COVID-19 infection was confirmed in the region on March 20.
Kiev region – 972 infected. According to the Kiev Regional Laboratory Center, 13 new cases of COVID-19 were revealed in the Kiev region during the last day. To date, 972 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, of which 89 are children and 150 are medical personnel. The first case of infection was confirmed on March 25.
Rivne Region – 926 infected. According to the Ministry of Health, the Rivne region was included in the top three in terms of the rate of spread of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Since yesterday, there have been 49 new cases of COVID-19. For the first time, coronavirus infection was detected in the region on March 27.
Lviv region – 753 infected. According to the mayor’s office, two new deaths from coronavirus were confirmed in Lviv on the last day. A 68-year-old man from the Yavorovskiy district and a 75-year-old resident of the village of Duliby, Stryisky region, died. The first case of infection in the region was confirmed on March 20.
Dnipropetrovsk region – 704 infected. According to the RSA, during the last day in the region there were 22 more cases of coronavirus infection, of which 16 were from the inhabitants of the Dnieper. Another death is also reported by COVID-19: a 52-year-old Krivoy Rog resident died. The first confirmation of coronavirus in the area was received on March 19.
Transcarpathian region – 695 infected. According to the Public Health Center, coronavirus was detected in 17 transcarpathians, including two doctors, last day. The total number of people currently infected is 695, of whom 32 are children, 172 are doctors. The first coronavirus infection was confirmed on March 26.
Odessa region – 636 infected. According to the mayor’s office, during the last day in the region 17 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed, of which 9 were in Odessa, 7 in the Podolsky district and a resident of Balta. Among the sick, three employees of the Odessa city infectious disease hospital. The first confirmation of coronavirus in the region was received on March 24.
Kharkov region – 572 infected. More than half of all cases in the region identified in Kharkov. During the last day, according to the Regional State Administration, 26 of the 44 new cases of COVID-19 infection were registered here in the region as a whole. Two upcoming coronavirus deaths are also reported: These are Kharkov women aged 48 and 56. The first case of coronavirus was registered on March 28.
Vinnytsia region: 544 infected. According to the RSA, during the last day in the Vinnitsa region 22 new cases of coronavirus were detected, one person died. In total, to date, 544 cases of COVID-19 are registered in the region, including 39 children. 291 people were recovered, including 21 children and 107 health workers, six died. The first case of infection was confirmed on March 25.
Zhytomyr region – 517 infected. According to local RSA, 33 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed in the Zhitomir region in the last 24 hours. The total number of infections today is 518 people. The highest number of infected people is observed: 171 people – in Zhitomir, 99 – in Korosten, 91 – in Berdichev. The first confirmation of infection in the region was received on March 12.
Volyn region: 470 infected. According to the Volyn laboratory center of the Ministry of Health, two new outbreaks of coronavirus were found in Volyn in the Protestant church of the Manevitsky district (12 cases) and in a sewing factory in Kovel (7 cases of infection). The first case of coronavirus infection in the region was registered on March 25.
Kirovograd region – 416 infected. According to the RSA, during the last day in the region 5 new cases of infection with COVID-19 were confirmed. 2 women and 2 men from Kropyvnytskyi and a resident of Vysokie Bayraki village in the Kropyvnytskyi region were infected. It is also reported that of 416 people diagnosed with coronavirus, six are in serious condition. 239 people have already recovered, 20 have died. The first officially confirmed infection case was registered on March 29.
Cherkasy region: 341 infected. According to the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, coronavirus has been confirmed in 8 residents of the region. In particular, a mother and a child are reported to have fallen ill in Kanev. The first case of COVID-19 in the region was confirmed on March 22.
Zaporizhzhya region: 328 infected. According to the regional laboratory center of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, today 328 cases of COVID-19 are registered in the region. Of these, the highest number was recorded: 240 – in Zaporozhye, 15 – in Energodar, 9 – in Zaporizhia and 8 – in the Melitopol district. The first confirmation of coronavirus in the area is dated March 25.
Poltava region – 246 infected. Until the last day, according to the Regional State Administration, 6 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the region: in the Kremenchug, Kremenchug and Chutovsky regions. Today in the region there are 246 infected, of which 106 Poltava have already recovered. The first case of coronavirus in the area was confirmed on March 27.
Mykolaiv region: 221 infected. According to the local Regional State Administration, during the last day in the region two new confirmations of coronavirus were revealed: in a patient diagnosed with pneumonia and in a contact person. In total, 223 cases of COVID-19 were registered in the region during the epidemic, of which 45 are doctors. The first confirmation of COVID-19 in the area was received on April 11.
Khmelnitsky region – 175 infected. According to the local RSA, to date, there have been 178 cases of coronavirus infection in the region, of which 53 people have recovered, 7 have died. New cases have been identified in Neteshin and Kamenetz-Podolsky. The first appearance of coronavirus in the region was registered on March 27.
Kherson Region – 159 infected. According to YEAH, to date, 161 cases of coronavirus have been registered in the region, of which 80 have recovered, two have died. During the last day, COVID-19 was detected in two people: a 19-year-old Kherson and a 52-year-old Oleshkovsky district resident. In the region, the first infection was discovered on March 25.
Sumy Region – 154 infected. According to the regional laboratory center, 154 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the region today, of which 74 have recovered. During the last day, the diagnosis was confirmed in two more people from Shostka. The first coronavirus case in Sumy was discovered on March 25.
Donetsk region – 100 infected. According to the local leader, 52 patients are being treated for COVID-19 in Mariupol, another 10 patients with suspected coronavirus. The first official case of coronavirus in the region dates from March 18.
Chernihiv region – 73 infected. In the past 24 hours, the situation with coronavirus infection has not changed. The first infection in the region occurred on March 26.
Lugansk Region: 42 infected. In the Lugansk region, the situation with COVID-19 infection is also stable: there have been no new official reports of infection in the past 24 hours. The first case of COVID-19 was confirmed on March 25.
