Ukrainian scientists predict that in the near future the daily increase of coronavirus patients in Ukraine may reach 7,800 cases. This will be very heavy on the health system.
These data are provided by scientists from the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
According to published results, bed occupancy is close to 40%, and if we take into account suspected and confirmed cases, this figure reaches almost 60%.
“Predictive modeling performed using the similarity method in mathematical modeling, a recurrent neural network with long-term short-term memory of the LSTM type and a backpropagation neural network (BPNN) shows that in the time interval (11.10.20 -23.10.20), the number of newly diagnosed patients may fluctuate in the range of 4500-7800 people per day, “the statement said.
The epidemic situation in the regions is rapidly deteriorating both in the number of new patients and in the geography of distribution, scientists say.
We will remember, in Ukraine during the past day, 4420 people were infected with coronavirus.
Note that in five regions of Ukraine and Kiev, hospital beds are more than 70% full.
