In Ukraine, during the last day, 4,928 new cases of coronavirus were registered. Among the sick are 166 children and 261 health workers.

Health Minister Maxim Stepanov announced it on Facebook.

Most of the new cases were detected in the Kiev (536), Lviv (351), Dnipropetrovsk (342), Zaporozhye (339) and Kharkiv (325) regions. At the same time, 1,862 people were hospitalized per day, 116 died and 13,138 recovered.

Yesterday 40,144 coronavirus tests were carried out. Of these, 22 667 by PCR and 17 477 by ELISA.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1 million 187 thousand 897 people have already been infected in Ukraine, 21 778 have died, 942 107 have recovered 245 790 patients are still active patients.

Previously, RBC-Ukraine wrote that the incidence of COVID-19 in the country is five times higher than the norm. As of January 22, the incidence rate in Ukraine was 204.3 per 100,000 inhabitants, with a norm of 40.

It was also reported that Ukraine and 139 other countries have not yet started the process of vaccinating the population against the coronavirus. Vaccines are already being applied in 52 countries around the world.
