In Ukraine during the last day, 8,416 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed. At the same time, almost twice as many patients recovered: 16,150 (a new record).

In total, 55,856 coronavirus tests were performed in one day. Of these, 31,963 by PCR and 23,893 by ELISA.
Most of the new cases were reported in the Kiev (1559), Odessa (830), Cherkasy (665), Zaporozhye (599) and Poltava (575) regions. Including the infection was confirmed in 412 children and 447 health workers. 1,479 people were hospitalized.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 909,082 people have already been infected in Ukraine, 15,480 (+233) died, 522,868 recovered. 386,214 patients remain active patients.
We will recall, scientists from the National Academy of Sciences predict a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine until the end of December. According to one of the forecasts, on December 28 there will be just over 2,000 new cases per day.
Previously, RBC-Ukraine wrote that experts associate a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19 in the country with an increase in quarantine over the weekend.
