In Ukraine, during the last day, 12,811 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed. At the same time, 13,653 patients recovered.

Health Minister Maxim Stepanov announced it on Facebook.

Among those infected, 593 children and 572 health workers. In total, 61,571 coronavirus tests were performed during the last day. Of these, 40,967 by PCR and 20,604 by ELISA.

Most of the new infections were detected in the regions of Kiev (1696), Odessa (1357), Zaporozhye (807), Kiev (785) and Lvov (721).

Since the start of the pandemic, 885,039 people have already been infected, 14,998 (+243) have died, 494,001 have recovered, and 391,038 patients remain active.

Previously, RBC-Ukraine wrote that vaccination against COVID-19 in Ukraine will start approximately on March 1, 2021.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health said who will be the first to receive the coronavirus vaccine in Ukraine. There are 9 main groups.

Furthermore, RBC-Ukraine wrote that vaccination against COVID-19 in Ukraine will be carried out according to two scenarios: stationary and using mobile groups.

Note that in Ukraine, from January 8 to 24, they plan to tighten the quarantine. This decision is due to forecasts of an increase in the number of patients with COVID-19.
