Registered incidence of coronavirus in regions
Ukraine weakens quarantine, but continues to fight coronavirus. The Ministry of Health announced a new positive trend towards a decrease in incidence. For the first time in a day in the country, the number of newly confirmed cases of infection was less than the recovery rate. At the moment, 16847 Ukrainians have been infected with the coronavirus, 456 have died from complications, 4143 have recovered.
The highest number of new cases per day was detected in Chernivtsi, the Kharkov and Kiev regions. For more information on the distribution geography of the coronavirus, as well as statistics from the Ministry of Health, see RBC-Ukraine.
Statistics on regions as of May 15
Chernivtsi region: 2,516 infected. In Chernivtsi, a critical situation has developed with the incidence of coronavirus. According to Mayor Alexei Kaspruk, there are already around a thousand infected people in the city. “The dynamics are stable. Today, the city’s hospitals are full, we are trying to put a few dozen beds somewhere to receive and treat patients with coronavirus and severe pneumonia,” said Kaspruk. Currently, there are only 10 beds available in the city. During the day, 72 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected throughout the region, 36 people recovered. There were also 4 deaths of elderly people with serious pathologies. The first infected coronavirus in Ukraine was detected in the Chernivtsi region on March 3.
Kiev – 2012 infected. During the day, 52 new coronavirus infections were registered in the capital. According to the city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, 31 women from 18 to 81 years old, 15 men from 23 to 80 years old, as well as 4 girls from 2 to 16 years old and 2 boys from 12 to 16 years old, became ill. 259 medical workers are sick with COVID-19 in Kiev, 29 of them are hospitalized. The first cases of infection were confirmed in the capital on March 16.
Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1166 infected. In Ivano-Frankivsk, the famous Ukrainian cancer surgeon, head of the dispensary department of the Igor Zakala Carpathian Center for Clinical Oncology, died of coronavirus. During the entire time of a pandemic in the region, two doctors and five nurses died. In the past 24 hours, a 59-year-old nurse from the Kosovo Central District Hospital died of coronavirus. Currently, 277 infected doctors are registered in the region. In the last 24 hours, the number of infected has increased in 22 patients. The coronavirus in Ivano-Frankivsk was first detected on March 19.
Ternopil region – 1033 infected. At Ternopol, an 82-year-old man died of coronavirus, which had severe comorbidity. 5 residents were infected in the region per day. New cases were confirmed in the Kremenetsky-2 district, in the Shumsky, Podvolochisky and Buchatsky areas. The infection was first detected in the Ternopil region on March 19.
Kiev region – 1067 infected. According to authorities, 18 residents were infected with the coronavirus per day in the region. Among all coronavirus patients, 177 health workers and 93 children. 192 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized. In total, 24 fatal cases of the disease and 186 recoveries were registered in the region. The first infected in the area were discovered on March 17.
Rivne Region – 1062 infected. For a day in the region, another 5 people contracted coronavirus. The new cases were confirmed by a resident of the city of Rivne and four residents of the Rivne region. Of the total number of patients in the region, the coronavirus infected 230 health workers and 80 children. During the entire pandemic, 24 people died from the virus, 255 patients recovered. Coronavirus was first detected in patients at the Sarnensky District Hospital on March 27.
Lviv region – 904 infected. According to the Lviv City Council, 34 people contract coronaviruses in the region per day. All the while, pandemics died from the disease, 22 residents, and 169 patients recovered. Currently, there are 311 infected people in hospitals, 23 in intensive care units and 6 patients with mechanical ventilation. “As of today, 100 medical workers became ill in Lviv COVID-19. Of these, 56 are employees of the ambulance hospital. Although this hospital is not a base for the treatment of patients with coronavirus, a large number of patients pass it on. daily. For example, the burden on surgery increased 3 times, “said Lviv Mayor Andrei Sadovoy. The first cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Lviv on March 20.
Transcarpathian region – 791 infected. For one day in the region, 27 residents contracted coronavirus. The first diagnosis of COVID-19 was made in Transcarpathia on March 26.
Dnipropetrovsk region – 781 infected. In Krivoy Rog, two coronavirus patients died immediately after being discharged from the hospital. A medical institution is under investigation. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Svyatoslav Oleynik, said it was too early to talk about the fault of the chief doctor who wrote to the patients, because they had no symptoms of the disease. During the day, 8 new infected were identified in the region. The first patients with COVID-19 were registered at the Dnieper on March 9.
Kharkov region – 713 infected. According to the authorities, 41 people were infected with the coronavirus in the region. A fatal case was also reported of an 82-year-old Kharkov resident who had severe comorbidities. Currently, 264 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in the region, 6 of them are under oxygen, 1 is connected to a mechanical ventilation device. Since the start of the pandemic in the region, 21 patients died from complications of the infection, 87 recovered. The first infected were detected in Kharkov on March 28.
Odessa region – 693 infected. The Ministry of Health registered 13 new cases of infection per day. The state border service reported the hospitalization of a soldier with coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Among all the infected 139 doctors and 61 children. In total, 7 fatal cases and 41 recoveries were registered in the region. 212 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized. The first infected in Odessa were detected on March 24.
Vinnytsia region – 654 infected. In Vinnitsa, the rector of the temple, Alexei Herodov, 49, died of coronavirus. He had several concomitant illnesses. During the day, 26 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the region. The first patients with COVID-19 were registered in Vinnitsa on March 25.
Volyn region: 535 infected. Twenty-five new infections were recorded per day in the region, of which 6 in the Lutsk district, 5 in Manevitsky, 4 cases in the Lutsk and Kovel district, 3 cases in the Kivertsy region, 2 in Novovolynsk and one in the Lokachinsky district. 13 patients recovered in 24 hours. During the entire time, pandemics died from complications of infection in 15 residents of the region, 141 people recovered. The first cases of COVID-19 in Volhynia were recorded on March 25.
Zhytomyr region: 533 infected. The head of the regional state administration, Vitaliy Bunechko, reported on 3 new infected in the last day. The largest number of patients was identified in Zhitomir: 186 people. 99 infections were confirmed in Korosten, 92 in Berdichev. 81 patients were cured during the pandemic in the region. The first coronaviruses infected in the region were registered on March 12.
Kirovograd region – 432 infected. In the region, 4 new infections were detected per day. The first infected in Kropyvnytskyi were registered on March 29.
Cherkasy region: 348 infected. Within 24 hours, 2 new cases of the disease were confirmed in the region. For the entire pandemic in the region, 15 fatal coronavirus cases and 208 were cured. The first cases of COVID-19 were installed in Cherkassy on March 22.
Zaporizhzhya region – 347 infected. During a day in the region, the number of infected increased in 16 patients. In the region, 8 fatal cases of disease and 135 recoveries were registered. The coronavirus was first detected in Zaporozhye on March 25.
Poltava region: 257 infected. The situation with the incidence of coronavirus per day has not changed. According to the authorities, the number of convalescence increased to 155. The first coronavirus patients were discovered in the Poltava region on March 27.
Mykolaiv region – 228 infected. The Ministry of Health registered 3 new infections per day. According to the regional state administration, of all those infected, 45 are medical workers. In total, 65 coronavirus recoveries and 5 deaths were recorded in the region. The infection was first detected in two older women in the village of Voronovka in the Voznesensky district on April 11.
Khmelnitsky region – 209 infected. During the day, 13 residents of the region were infected. The first data on the coronavirus in Khmelnitsky appeared on March 27.
Kherson Region – 165 infected. According to the region’s authorities, two new cases of infection were identified per day. An infected one was found in Kherson, the second in the Kakhovsk region. Currently, 96 patients have been cured of coronaviruses in the region. The infection was first detected in the area on March 25.
Sumy Region: 158 infected. In the last 24 hours, a person has been infected in the region. The first infected with COVID-19 were registered in Sumy on March 25.
Donetsk region – 117 infected. Authorities in the region reported 15 new cases of coronavirus. For 24 hours, patients were identified in Mariupol – 11 people, in Slavyansk – 2 and one in the Maryinsky and Cherkasy OTG district. Four of the infected recently returned from Russia. All the time, pandemics have died from complications of infection. 3 residents, 34 recovered. The first infected in the area appeared on March 18.
Chernihiv region – 84 infected. The region’s authorities report 16 cases of infection in the last day. 9 new patients were found at the regional center. One of the infected doctors on the mobile team. During the entire period of the pandemic, 11 patients were hospitalized, 22 patients recovered, 6 died from complications. COVID-19 was first detected in the region on March 26.
Lugansk region: 42 infected. The situation with the incidence of coronavirus in the region has not changed per day. The first people infected in the region were registered on March 25, and since then 15 residents have been dealing with the coronavirus.
