In Ukraine, during the last day, 7474 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed. Most of the new cases of infection were detected in the Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Lvov and Chernivtsi regions.
This is evidenced by data from the National Security and Defense Council.
So, most of the new cases of infection were confirmed in the regions of Kharkiv (+635), Odessa (+567), Kiev (+563), Dnipropetrovsk (+497), Lviv (+398) and Chernivtsi (+392 ).
During the day 70,592 tests were carried out. Of these, 41,947 were PCR studies, 28,645 were ELISA tests.
In total, since the start of the pandemic in Ukraine, COVID-19 has already been confirmed in 363,075 people. Of these, 6,755 (+165) died, 148,642 (+3,306) patients recovered. 207 678 people are still active patients.
Previously, RBC-Ukraine wrote that in 30% of cases, the PCR test does not confirm the presence of COVID-19 in a patient.
It was also reported that as of October 27, more than 70% of hospital beds for COVID-19 patients in Kiev and six regions were occupied in Ukraine.
In addition, the Ministry of Health plans to add new methods to diagnose the coronavirus. In the near future, they may start using ELISA antigen testing and new express systems.
