On Thursday, April 16, 96 new cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in the Chernivtsi region.
The head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration Sergey Osachuk reported on Thursday night on Facebook.

It is noted that among the most infected residents of Chernivtsi – 35 people. Another 20 people from Khotyn district, 18 from Hlybotsky.
The total number of infected people in the Chernivtsi region reached 758 people, 11 of them died and 25 recovered.
Seven clerics also confirmed the coronavirus, with two more suspected. In addition, 12 priests have been in contact with the infected and are in isolation.
“There are still 138 beds in the infectious wards of medical institutions in the Chernivtsi region, so we are now preparing additional hospitals for patients, in particular in the Vyzhnytsi TsRL”, – said the head of the State Regional Administration.
