Record incidence of coronavirus in Kiev
In the capital, nearly 1.9 thousand people fell ill, while 138 Kiev residents were hospitalized and fewer than 500 recovered.
During the day in Kiev, 1,899 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, a record since the beginning of the epidemic. The mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, reported this on Telegram on Thursday, December 10.
In total, 86,437 cases of coronavirus have already been confirmed in Kiev. At the same time, 27 people from Kiev died (total – 1525) and 444 people recovered (total – 26 847).
The day before, 1,069 women between 18 and 89 years old, 722 men between 19 and 85 years old, 61 girls between five days and 17 years old, and 47 boys between two and 17 years old fell ill. In addition, 51 doctors became ill.
138 COVID-19 patients were transferred to hospitals, the rest are being treated in self-isolation, under the supervision of doctors.
Most of the cases of the disease were detected in Dniprovsky – 356, in Darnitsky – 315 and in the Desnyansky district – 313 cases.
Remember that Ukraine has a history of hospitalizations of COVID patients. The number of infected since the beginning of the pandemic has exceeded 858 thousand people, of which 14 470 have died and more than 465 thousand have recovered.
