In Kiev, during the last day, 1,799 new cases of coronavirus were registered. This is a new anti-record in the capital.
This is evidenced by data from the National Security and Defense Council.
The previous anti-record in Kiev was recorded on November 29, then 1,740 infections were confirmed.
Since the start of the pandemic in the capital, COVID-19 has already been confirmed in 72,277 people. 1,323 (+31) people died from the coronavirus, 23,252 (+409) recovered. 47,702 patients remain active patients.
We will recall, in total, almost 12.5 thousand new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Ukraine per day. Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 745 thousand people have already been infected, around 390 thousand patients are still active patients.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine wrote that the incidence rate of coronavirus disease is 12 times higher in the country. In Kiev, this figure is 640.1 per 100,000 inhabitants, while the norm is 40.
It was also reported that a meeting was held in the Office of the President on November 30 to discuss the issue of introducing a blockade in Ukraine. The results will be announced shortly.
At the same time, the Health Ministry said they do not plan to extend the weekend quarantine. Preliminary results of the weekend quarantine introduced in November will be released this week.
