The French government plans to introduce a 14-day quarantine for travelers and residents due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is reported by Reuters.

According to the draft quarantine abandonment bill, travelers and residents returning from abroad are required to go through quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in the country.

“Quarantine will apply to all those who return to French soil,” said Olivier Veran, Minister of Health.

According to him, the duration and conditions of quarantine for asymptomatic people and the isolation of people with symptoms of COVID-19 will be determined in a decree that will be published shortly.

Recall that in France the number of deaths from coronavirus infection is 24 087, of which 427 died the previous day. In hospitals and guardianship institutions, 15 053 and 9 034 people died, respectively.

Recall, it was previously reported that in France as of May 11 they will begin to mitigate the quarantine measures introduced due to the coronavirus outbreak. Therefore, the country will ease the restriction on the movement of people, as well as open kindergartens, primary schools, shops, small museums and libraries.
