On Sunday, September 6, two Karpaty players were confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus. The footballers tested positive for COVID-19 before the game with the Podillia club.
This was reported by the press service of the football club on Facebook.
Coronavirus infection was found in goalkeeper Valentin Gorokh and forward Konstantin Bychek.
“After receiving the data, both players were instantly isolated from the team. All other players, coaches and staff are healthy and ready for the fight,” the club said.
We recall, in August, that the coronavirus was confirmed by the president of the Ukrainian Football Association, Pavelko.
In addition, at the end of July, a doctor for the Ukraine soccer team died of coronavirus.
We add that more than 2 thousand new cases of coronavirus are confirmed in Ukraine per day.
