The Ministry of Health reported on the groups of people who are contraindicated in the treatment of coronavirus on an outpatient basis, that is, at home with a visit to the hospital or medical consultations.
So, on the Telegram channel of the NSZU, they listed the risk groups that, when diagnosed with COVID-19, need to be treated in a hospital. These include patients with:
- serious chronic diseases of the lungs and cardiovascular system;
- renal insufficiency;
- immunosuppressive conditions (primary and secondary immunodeficiency);

- Autoimmune diseases.
In addition, patients with symptoms that characterize the moderate to severe course of the disease should be treated in the hospital:

- gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea);
- changes in mental status (confusion, lethargy).
Also, patients whose temperature rises (above 38 ° C) and does not respond well to correction must necessarily go to the hospital.
“The decision about the place of treatment is not made by the patient, but by their GP. Or the EMF team, who is called in in case of a severe deterioration of the condition,” said the NHSU.
