The forensic medical examination of Armenia has confirmed the death of 3,330 military personnel in Nagorno-Karabakh. The corpse identification process continues.
The press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Health, Alina Nikoghosyan, stated this on her Facebook page.
Thus, from the beginning of the war to the present, 1,441 samples were taken to organize the corpse identification process.
As of January 1, 871 samples of bodies or remains are being considered.
“As of January 1, 3,330 bodies have passed a forensic medical examination,” the message says.
It should be remembered that in mid-November, Armenia reported 2,317 soldiers killed in Nagorno-Karabakh.
RBC-Ukraine wrote that the fight for Nagorno-Karabakh was resumed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2020. During the war, Azerbaijan managed to return almost all the territory occupied by Armenia. As a result, Yerevan was forced to sign an agreement with Azerbaijan to end the war.
