Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry said that the Armenian armed forces are hastily abandoning their positions in the direction of Khojavend in Nagorno-Karabakh. However, Yerevan and Stepanakert have not yet commented on this information.

The Azerbaijani army continues to advance deep into the conflict territory, the ministry said.

“In this direction from the front, damage was inflicted on enemy positions. The enemy, who suffered heavy losses, fled, leaving some lines,” the ministry said.

Let us remind you that the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh worsened on September 27, active battles are being fought in the region. Martial law was introduced in Azerbaijan and Armenia and mobilization announced. The parties reported deaths and injuries, including among the civilian population.

On November 8, Azerbaijan announced that it regained control of the city of Shusha during the battles in Nagorno-Karabakh. The capital celebrates the liberation of the city, but the Armenian side denies its loss.
