The Collaboration Law, the draft of which was registered in parliament, will establish a punishment for contributing to Russia’s aggression.
This was said by the co-author of the document, the people’s deputy of the “Servant of the people” Yevhen Kravchuk, in a comment to “RBC-Ukraine”.
According to the deputy, each case of possible collaboration must be considered separately.
“As for the teachers, they just put them under those conditions. At the same time, if the headmaster organizes some kind of rules and says that Ukrainian soldiers are shooting someone there, this is one thing. And if you only teach chemistry or physics , is another. This is not a law about a doctor, teacher or driver, “said Kravchuk.

The Popular Deputy pointed out that the document also contains a provision on sanction for informational cooperation with the aggressor and joint political events. With a broad interpretation of these rules, the activities of various Ukrainian parties and television channels can be covered by them. According to Kravchuk, according to the law a group of Ukrainian MPs can get caught, which, for example, will go to Donetsk or Simferopol and hold a joint conference with the local “authorities” there.
According to her, in the final text of the bill it will hardly be possible to preserve the provision on the possibility of banning religious organizations if their “authorized persons” are guilty of collaboration. But Kravchuk considers it necessary to suppress the activities of political parties and their leaders if their activities are covered by law.
Collaboration bill: what is known
- At the end of February, a bill on establishing criminal liability for collaborative activities was registered in the Rada.
- Collaborative activities will be recognized as a public denial by a citizen of Ukraine of the implementation of an armed aggression against Ukraine, the establishment and approval of the temporary occupation of a part of the territory of Ukraine, or public appeals by a citizen from Ukraine to support the decisions and / or actions of the aggressor state, the armed formations and / or the administration of occupation of the aggressor state; cooperation with the aggressor state, armed formations and / or the aggressor state’s occupation administration; non-recognition of the extension of state sovereignty of Ukraine over the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
- This provides for the deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or carry out certain activities for a period of 10 to 15 years.
