Authorities are considering several possible blocking options. One of them is to tighten the quarantine for the New Year holidays.

This was reported by various informed sources from RBC-Ukraine.

“The cabinet plans to introduce a total lockdown from December 24 to January 15,” said MP Oleksandr Dubinsky (people’s servant) on Facebook.

The interlocutor of the publication in the Presidency pointed out that this is only “one of the options.”

“Adjustments are made every day. There is not a single mandatory day for a total lockdown,” he said.

At the same time, a government source added that a decision on the shutdown has yet to be made.

“There are no dates. And the format of the blockade is also in doubt,” the source said.

Earlier, the head of the Servants of the People faction, David Arakhamia, said that the government was considering an “intellectual blockade” in Ukraine. It will allow not to introduce the same strict restrictions as in the spring throughout the country.

Furthermore, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said that there will definitely be no lockdown in Ukraine from next week. The list of restrictions for strict quarantine is still being developed.
